Visting teams coming by car/coach are best approaching York using the York ring road (A64) which is linked from the A1(M).Leave the A64 at the Askham Bar Park & Ride junction and head towards the city centre (Tadcaster road A1036). Once past the racecourse and at the top of the hill turn left at the traffic lights into Dalton Terrace and then left again at the t-junction next to Holgate Railway Bridge. Continue forward and fork left at the junction next to the Fox Inn pub (B1224 Acomb Road).
Once through the lights take the 3rd street left, just past the methodist church, signposted New Lane. Continue to the end of New Lane and go through the straight through the gates at the crossroads. This is the Railway Institute sports ground.
